PRE-ORDER YOUR HOP PLANTS & RHIZOMES
Did you know that you can grow hop plants right in your garden? We are taking pre-orders for both hop rhizomes and plants.

Available in over a dozen varieties, hop rhizomes (root cuttings) are available for as little as $3.95! They’re attractive and fun to grow, and once they’re well established, each plant can produce up to two pounds of hops per year! To place your order, check out the link below:

**NEW** For the first time this year, we’re offering real live hop plants! The plants will be approximately 3″ high when they arrive in early May. Not only will these plants offer higher chances of success for you brown thumbs out there, but there’s a great variety on offer, some of which are simply not available as rhizomes. YOU MUST PREORDER, though, so please click below and get your order in before Friday, March 25. Just $11.89 each.

CLUB BARREL BREW CHAMPIONSHIP JUDGING EVENT
Montgomeryville: Saturday, April 9: 6pm
The Barrel Brew Championship is one of the our favorite events of the year, with clubs from all over the region (PA, NJ, DE) coming together to share homebrews, talk beer, and compete for the Barrel Brew crown. At a special big brew event that we host in July, each club brews a beer of their choosing, which then spends time in a wine or spirits barrel and ultimately gets evaluated at the upcoming Judging Event at our Montgomervyille store.  You are invited to join in the festivities at 6pm on Saturday, April 9, when the homebrewing clubs open up their booths to the public and pour some of these barrel aged elixirs (and often other creative concoctions as well). If you are interested in tasting some fantastic homebrews and learning more about the community of talented homebrewers living right in your area then this is one evening you will not want to miss! The event is free for everyone.

If you belong to a club in the region, whether or not you brewed one of the beers for the competition, you are invited to come and set up a booth, pour some club beers, and enjoy the festivities. If you’re on our radar already, we’ll probably be reaching out to your club shortly to make a formal invitation. If you’re not, then shame on us, and let’s fix that! We hope to see you on April 9, and we hope you can also join us on Saturday, July 24, when we’re planning to kick off the next Club Barrel Brew Championship!

NEW MONSTER GRAIN MILL IN MONTGOMERYVILLE
We’re pretty excited about our fantastic new grain mill, which is a Monster in both name and deed. It’s crushed pretty much everything we’ve thrown at it so far (Carahelles, cell phones, leftover beef stroganoff, and a few hopes and dreams) with grace, poise, and amazing consistency. So come on in and get the most out of your next brew. Or better still, pick up one of the homebrew model Monster Mills that we’re now carrying and gain the ultimate control over your own crush! (Available in Montgomeryville now, they can be transferred to Bethlehem upon request.)
