ORDER DEADLINE FOR SEASONAL WINE KITS
Wednesday, August 4
We will be offering some fantastic seasonal wine kits this fall. We strongly recommend that you preorder the kits that you want, since they always seem to sell out very quickly. The preorder deadline for the following three Winexpert kits is just two days away! Of course we will order extras, but we can’t guarantee availability after this Wednesday.

CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY PORT
Bright raspberry! Luscious chocolate! Magnificent traditional Port character with toasty oak in the finish. A Gold Medal winner at the 2009 WineMaker Amateur Wine Competition! Makes 3 gallons; $114.95.

OKANAGAN PEACH ICEWINE
Deep floral notes, stone fruit and perfect sweetness, balanced with the sun-ripened perfume of a luscious peach. Another Gold Medal winner at the 2009 WineMaker Amateur Wine Competition! Makes 3 gallons; $116.95.

BLACKBERRY PORT
The new kit on the block! Rich, intense blackberry flavors with lingering tannins and a gorgeous deep purple hue combine to be an excellent foil for the broad richness of traditional Port. $114.95 A $50 deposit will be required to reserve any of the above kits. NEW SEASONAL WINE KITS
The following kits are so new, they haven’t even found their way to our website yet. They will be online soon; in the meantime, you can stop by one of our stores or order by phone. No deadline has been set, but quantities will be limited, so don’t delay!

WINEXPERT GAMAY NOUVEAU
Fresh and juicy, Gamay Nouveau is a bold young wine, purple-pink color, and bursting with an amazing array of fruit aromas. It’s low tannin levels make it extremely drinkable when young, and it has traditionally been produced in Beaujolais, France to celebrate the end of the harvest season. Unlike most Winexpert kits, the Gamay Nouveau will be ready to enjoy on bottling day (although it may improve for up to a year). This seasonal kit, sourced from Beaujolais in France, will be available starting in September in limited quantities. By preordering your kit now, you can ensure that you will be able to complete the fermentation and start enjoying your wine by the traditional release date, the third Thursday in November. The French have torchlight parades, fireworks and music festivals, but you can have as much fun with your own, smaller scale Nouveau party! Serve the wine lightly chilled (55 deg F), and it will display hints of banana, pear, candy and even bubble gum. Makes 6 gallons; $125.95. RJ SPAGNOLS ORANGE CHOCOLATE PORT
This rich specialty wine is an intricate mélange of lively flavours that tempt the nose and reward the palate. Rich aromas of dark chocolate are set gracefully against a frame of refreshing citrus and vanilla notes. The palate is endowed with a full-bodied experience and a finely balanced combination of delicious chocolate, hints of orange peel and a medium-sweet finish. Makes 3 gallons; $114.95

WINE SEASON APPROACHING
If you have any 2009 wine left in fermenters, it is time to start bottling! You will want to use those fermenters when you see what we have to offer this year. In fact, we are working hard to put together the best portfolio of fresh grapes and juice that we have ever offered. No, you haven’t missed the order deadline; in fact we haven’t even been able to set pricing yet. As soon as we get our prices lined up, we will be happy to start taking your orders. Keep an eye out for our email updates and our upcoming fall newsletter, which will contain all the varieties, pricing and more.

Ferment on!
