LEHIGH VALLEY HOMEBREWERS CLUB MEETING
Tuesday, July 27, 7:00 PM
Join the Lehigh Valley Homebrewers at the Bethlehem Brew Works Steelgaarden for a chance to sample a variety of homebrews and get critical feedback on your own. This month’s meeting will involve an AHA Club Only Competition (meads), a discussion about the upcoming Malt Madness homebrew contest and more. Newcomers are always welcome! Check out www.lehighvalleyhomebrewers.com for more details.

MALT MADNESS Saturday, September 11
ACCEPTING ENTRIES August 14-26
Do you like friendly competition with your fellow homebrewers? Receiving constructive feedback on your beers? Winning prestigious awards and great prizes? If so, then prepare your entries for the 4th Annual Malt Madness Competition! Both Keystone Homebrew locations will be accepting entries from Saturday, August 14 through Thursday, August 26. Don’t forget . the Malt Madness is also the final leg of the 2010 Keystone Cup homebrew club competition. The Keystone Hops have a commanding lead following the War of the Worts in February, but that didn’t seem to matter much last year! Be sure to indicate your club affiliation on your entry forms.

CALLING ALL JUDGES
The Lehigh Valley Homebrewers are looking for all available BJCP-certified beer judges to help out with this year’s Malt Madness. The competition will take place at the Allentown Brew Works in Allentown, PA. KEYSTONE HOPS COMPLETELY NON-SANCTIONED COMPETITION FOR CLUB MEMBERS
The Keystone Hops are inviting all members (and newcomers) to bring their best “Saisons” to the regularly scheduled September club meeting (on Thursday, September 16) to compete for a great prize in a friendly competition. Entries do not need to be brewed to any pre-defined style parameters, and they will be judged in a decidedly informal fashion by all club meeting attendees. The single requirement for this competition is that all entries must be brewed using a Saison yeast. Start brewing now to take advantage of the savagely hot summer weather, which is perfect for brewing Saisons!

Ferment on!
