Greetings from Keystone Homebrew,

In this email:
New Hops from the Land of the Rising Sun
The “Next Step” Brewing Class: Wednesday, July 1
Absinthe Tasting: Bethlehem, Tuesday, June 30
Lehigh Valley Homebrewers Club Meeting: Bethlehem, Tuesday, June 30
Both Stores Closed: Saturday, July 4
Keystone Family Picnic: Saturday, July 18

NEW HOP OFFERING: SORACHI ACE
Originally developed by the Sapporo Brewery in Japan, Sorachi Ace has proven to be an extremely versatile hop variety. A favorite among the Keystone staff, so far we’ve used it in a couple of IPAs and a hoppy American-style wheat beer to take advantage of the assertive bitterness and the wonderful fresh lemony aroma. The results have been outstanding! Sorachi Ace is available now in Montgomeryville, and will be in Bethlehem soon. Have fun experimenting, or try our new Keystone beer kit featuring all Sorachi Ace.

Keystone Beer Kit featuring Sorachi Ace: $49.95
Sorachi Ace hop pellets (10.9% AA): $3.15 / oz.

THE “NEXT STEP” BREWING CLASS Montgomeryville, Wednesday, July 1, 7:00PM
There is still room for a few more brewers in our Next Step class this Wednesday at Studio M Foods (near our Montgomeryville store). If you’re a novice brewer looking to improve your brewing techniques, this is the class for you! Stop by or call our Montgomeryville store ASAP with payment information ($40 per person) to reserve your spot. We’ll share some homebrewed beer as part of the class, but feel free to bring some of your own if you’d like feedback.

BETHLEHEM: ABSINTHE TASTING (6:30PM) and LEHIGH VALLEY HOMEBREWERS CLUB MEETING (7:30PM) Tuesday, June 30
Please join us, along with Philadelphia Distilling, at our Bethlehem store on Tuesday for a fun and educational absinthe tasting. Philadelphia Distilling has been a pioneer in distilling absinthe since its recent legalization. After the tasting, make your way over to the Steelgaarden, just across from the store, for the monthly meeting of the Lehigh Valley Homebrewers. It’s a great opportunity to try a variety of homebrews, and get ideas and feedback on some of your own. Check out the following link for more information about the club, including a great brewing forum and upcoming events: www.lehighvalleyhomebrewers.org

CLOSED FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY
Both of our stores will be closed for the 4th of July. We hope everyone is able to celebrate with some great homemade beverages!

KEYSTONE FAMILY PICNIC: Saturday, July 18, 4:00PM ’til ????
Don’t forget to mark your calendars; you don’t want to miss this!

Ferment on!
