PHILLY BEER GEEK SEMI-FINAL ROUND
Tuesday, May 25, 7:00 PM (tomorrow!!)
There are a lot of self-proclaimed beer experts around these days, but there can be only one Philly Beer Geek 2010. The best and the brightest beer connoisseurs in the Philadelphia area will try to prove their worth in the beer world by competing in the semi-final round at the Manayunk Brewery & Restaurant tomorrow night. Spectators are encouraged to cheer on their favorite competitors at this highly entertaining event, which will begin at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM). Celebrate the official opening of Philly Beer Week with us at the Independence Visitor Center in Philadelphia (6th & Market Streets). We will be pouring some terrific homebrews, plus you can sample a wide range of regional beers and meet local celebrities (Mayor Nutter, Joe Sixpack). This is a KisE event (.Keystone is Everywhere.), which means we will give you $5 store credit just for wearing a Keystone shirt if you track us down at the festival. We hope to see you there! SIERRA NEVADA HOMEBREW CUP

Would you like to have your homebrew judged by Sierra Nevada? Drop off your entries at Keystone Homebrew (either location) BY FRIDAY, JUNE 4, and compete in this non-BJCP sanctioned homebrew contest for fun, bragging rights and truly fantastic prizes. PHILLY BEER GEEK FINAL ROUND

The six competitors who prevail in the semi-final round (held on May 25) will go head to head for the coveted title of PHILLY BEER GEEK 2010 at the Manayunk Brewery & Restaurant on Thursday, June 10. Spectators are encouraged to cheer on their favorite competitors at this highly entertaining event, which will begin at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM). CLONE BREW WARS
Saturday, June 12, 2:00 to 6:00 PM
Be sure to check out this one-of-a-kind event at the Varga bar on the second Saturday of Philly Beer Week. You will get to judge homebrewed clones of legendary beers created by Keystone Homebrew customers against their commercial counterparts (no judging experience necessary), and you will decide which homebrew represents the best cloned beer in the galaxy. BREWING CLASSES
We will be running the following brewing classes during Philly Beer Week. Please call in advance with payment information or sign up online (http://www.keystonehomebrew.com/Zilron/catalog112_0.html); each class will be limited to 12 students.

All-Grain Brewing: Learn the most advanced techniques to have the ultimate control over your homebrewed creations. $75 per person

Introduction to Brewing: This class is appropriate for anyone interested in getting started in the world’s greatest hobby. It includes a live demonstration, and it makes a great gift! $40 per person
