Lab Analysis: Alcohol Content Reading, Tier 1


Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) is the primary alcohol produced from alcoholic fermentation of sugar. The amount of alcohol in wine is expressed as a percent by volume of wine (%ABV). The %ABV is usually measured at the end of alcoholic fermentation to confirm dryness.

For our Tier 1 test, we use a ebulliometer.
