Ice Options * 

All liquid yeast being shipped includes a complementary ice pack per shipping order when temperatures are above 50F. Although we cannot guarantee that the ice packs will stay cold during shipping, we highly recommend the addition of an insulated mailer. Store pickup orders do not include an ice pack, but may be purchased with yeast or kits.

Malolactic fermentation is the conversion of malic acid to lactic acid by bacteria from the lactic acid bacteria family. Lactic acid is less acidic than malic acid, which in turn decreases acidity and helps to soften and/or round out some of the flavors in wine.
