The blood orange is an orange variety with deep crimson, almost-blood-colored flesh. Blood oranges, in addition to the usual orange notes, have a very subtle raspberry-like flavor. Apex’s Blood Orange Natural Flavor Blend is an ideal flavor for beer, cider, wine and spirits. We recommend a starting use level of 0.10% to 0.30% in most applications. In beer start at 0.10% and adjust to taste.
