Buckwheat honey is a strongly flavored, dark honey that is often blended with other honey varieties to make a more complex mead. Buckwheat honey’s distinctive, molasses-like flavor is also sparingly used in beer for added complexity in strong or dark beers.
We carry honey from several sources, including Ziegler’s, Sandt’s, and Fruitwood Orchards. The 1 lb., 2 lb., 5 lb., and 1 gallon sizes are packaged in glass or plastic jars. We choose plastic, when available, for safer shipping. If you have a strong preference for glass or plastic, please let us know.
