UPDATE: SOUTH AMERICAN FRESH GRAPES AND JUICE
First, the bad news. As the result of a terrible grape harvest in Argentina this year, we won’t be able to get Argentinian grapes. Arrrggghhh!! Don’t worry. We’re winemakers. We improvise. We adapt. We overcome. After a fair bit of scrambling, we were able to secure a very good source for Chilean grapes from the Itata Valley in southern Chile. We also expect the Chilean juice to come in as scheduled (despite the earthquake).

We are now able to offer the same three grape varietals from Chile (Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Syrah) that we had originally advertised from Argentina, plus two more varietals that produce some of the country’s best wines: Carmenere and Merlot. The Chilean grapes will arrive in 18 pound lugs, which will cost $23.50 each. We expect the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Carmenere to arrive a little later (early May), while the other varietals should be available toward the end of April.

If you have placed an order, and have already provided us with a deposit, there is no need to take any further action unless you’d like to make changes. You should be hearing from us, though, just to confirm that you would like us to fulfill your existing order.

If you have not yet placed an order, or would like to make any changes, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can secure the grapes or grape juice that you want.

FREE PARKING IN BETHLEHEM
To address the lack of parking at the Main Street Commons building, we have made an arrangement to validate parking at the two garages nearest our store in Bethlehem (locations B and C on the link below). Get your ticket stamped at Keystone Homebrew, and save your hard-earned cash for beer- and wine-making ingredients! Parking on the bridge is also free.
